It's mad different, which I like. I don't like the trap type high hats. Doesn't really fit. Woulda kept it more of a grimey feel with a straight 4 part measure closed hat like a march.

The sample chop is mad clean. I think the beat is pretty dope. It has some dynamics with the drops and switches. Might be a lot for a rapper to handle lol you'd need to find someone with mad confidence and experience on the mic to handle this type of beat.

And as far as "jumping back into producing" I say creating (and performing for me), if it is in your blood, is one of the best highs in the world. I produce, rap and perform. I think this beat shows that you have a talent to craft instrumentals, it's up to you to decide how far you wanna push it / what you wanna do with it. Ain't nothin wrong wit a lil side hobby. Ain't nothin wrong wit chasing a dream either.

Keep doin ya thang either way.

Thanks, I appreciate the listen and the feedback. You're right, there's no feeling quite like finishing something you created and being happy with it.

Or when you produce a beat for some emcees you respect and then they drop their album and you see they fans talkin bout your joint is the hardest track on the album. That ish is mad cool.

Listening.

Why'd you stop producing, kid? I've always considered you very good on the boards. You were like the Beat Club version of Danja.

I like this. I have no criticisms. This is good, clean, and I like the change-ups.

Thanks Aje, I always respected your musical knowledge and input. Priorities changed with work, etc...so I didn't have much time for making music. But I'm trying to carve out some more time to get back on the boards now.
nice, reminds me of something the old lil wayne would rap on..:ohhh:

that rock sample is raw..:salute:

'Preciate the listen, man. The sample is actually from an 80's new wave/synth pop band.

kinda different, not a bad thing though. I was really surprised by the mixing, it sounds very professional.

Just looking for some honest feedback. Seeing if maybe I should jump back into producing.

This is dark, I feel like its a mix of some new shyt crossed with a 90's action movie where the antagonist is on his way to retrobution... It has more of a soundtrack/action sequence feel than a rap song.. Dont get me wrong though I think bars could fit, I just also see moving imagery more.... That last break where the hats drop and the sample changes is super dope... That should be its own beat My two pesos.

Much appreciated. Honestly I didn't really intend for this to be a rap beat. I'm actually more interested in producing other genres. After I finished this track, I kinda had the same thought about the part where the sample changes. I might have to go back and re-work it.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out. Any feedback is always helpful.
