Uh huh :leostare:

I'll drop a review on it shortly. Its 800mspts.
I once read that there was two types of controls. Easy and normal
When this game was being shown around, the controls was on easy and it turned a lot of reviewers off.

Is that the final opinion on this game? Will it live up to previous expectations?

u gotta be trippin

:manny: I mean I haven't played any of these New Era wrestling games... I am pretty familiar with wrestling games up until Smackdown 4...

Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is the best in my opinion... With No Mercy, Wcw/NWO World Tour, Smackdown 4 coming in at 2,3, and 4 on my list(In whatever order you want)....

and then I have some obscure Personal Favorites like In Your House for the Sega Saturn and ECW Anarchy Rulz for PS...

Cosign dude above me... Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is the GOAT... Yes, Better than No Mercy, WCW/NWO World Tour, Smackdown 2 through 4, etc...
Well, I can tell you off the tippy that it doesn't play like those games.
They did simplify the controls. I heard they had a harder scheme in there, but I don't see it :to:
Now there are plenty of moves, but you have to equip some as opposed to having full access.
Also, then they teach you how to play. They don't tell you how to play fully
For instance, when I was looking at the moves to equip.. some moves are done by pressing a button. Others are done by holding a trigger button down and pressing a button. That opens up alot more moves which I didn't realize til just now. As in, when I first started typing, I didn't know this.
So maybe there is hope? :yeshrug:

I will admit it was fun, just not as fun as I hoped for. And I was only playing the CPU.. maybe against real ppl it will be funner?
:usure:
Have you played it? I won't say its better than No Mercy but it's about just as good.
From a gameplay perspective, you probably right. But it cant touch those other games to US STUPID AMERICANS because it didn't have our favorite stars in the game.
Thats what made NO Mercy/etc great. The great wrestlers of that era, being able to finally use them all and it resemble the real thing.
The problem with games nowadays for us at least... who cares if they made a modern No Mercy. I can't name 5 new wrestlers these days.
And none of them last much longer than a few months. Watch wrestling today, then come back a year from now and the only ppl you'll recognize is Cena and 2 other ppl :hula:

Eh, Fire Pro Returns is great, but not better than the N64 THQ/AKI games. Sorry.

If those games came to XBLA with the ability to play online multiplayer, it'd be a wrap for my anything but videogames life for the next period of time. I'm already going to be putting in way too many hours into FIFA '13 and Borderlands 2.

This game is nothing like the other Fire Pro games. They just took the name and slapped it on a generic XBLA avatar fighting game. Don't cop it guys. Your better off going to EB Games or Gamestop and buying a used copy of Fire Pro Return.

I repeat, this game is nothing like the old Fire Pro titles.

Wait wait wait...

:leostare:

You gotta put a little time into the gameplay and moves before the game becomes any fun.
But after playin thru the entire tutorial and a few matches.. the game is growing on me.

I'm curious how a 4plyr match would be. I'll reserve judgement til then.
Any reviews yet?
