Mine was Lisa Stansfield’s “All around the world”.

In the early 90’s My mom, my brother, and I were in her 87 zx when the song started playing on the radio. I was in the front passenger nodding my head. My brother hit me in the back of the head hard as a bytch. I thought the song was fire but, as a man, it’s just some shyt we can’t visibly enjoy. What’s y’all’s? He also used to hate on me when my mom used to play Janet Jackson’s “Janet” on Sunday’s.

I never got why men are embarrassed to listen to female artists.

My ex’s favorite artist was Sade and I always thought that was dope.
Sade is not in the girly type of league though, she's Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgeralds, Etta James type of classy intelligent levels. Not saying anything about the quality of the music, just not the same type of vibes.

Never been made fun of for anything I listened to. When dudes act too hard and only want aggressive male energy around them it speaks volumes about them as a person in my opinion. That being said there's a time and place for everything and I wasn't rolling around with my boys bumping love ballads either, but if you didn't enjoy TLC, Adina Howard, Mary J Blige, Aaliyah etc in their prime than I think that probably says more about you than it does about me.
