I never seen a college basketball coach underachieve so badly with the level of talent Memphis bring in every year. :snoop:

shyt, hire Bruce Pearl as Memphis head coach. He would kill with the talent they bring in every year. :yeshrug:

Ain't Pastner part of the reason that talent is there? :wtf: I mean, coaches recruit, right? :ld:

What the whole point in getting good recruits, if you can't coach them? :snoop:

Memphis have always got good high school basketball players.

I think the Memphis alumni boosters are getting players to go there more than the head coach.

He's winning regular season games, winning the conference, and getting in the tournament consistently. What more should a team in Conference USA expect. It's not as if Calipari is there anymore to have higher expectations :yeshrug:

A team with the talent they have shouldn't be getting knocked out the first round every year.

They're not your normal CUSA team. They're getting some of the top basketball talent every year.

The only reason he got the job in the first place is because of his connections in the summer camp circuit. Dude is a glorified AAU coach.

Someone verify this bullshyt. I don't think Pastner's made the tourney but 1 year his entire tenure. I COULD be wrong, but that wouldn't change how horrible a coach he is.

I thought he was Calipari's recruiter at Memphis?

:wtf: do you follow Tigers bball?

In 2010, Pastner's first year, we were absolutely robbed of a bid. Went to the NIT and understandably played unmotivated -- they were like 13-2 in C-USA that year.

In 2011, tough draw getting Arizona in first round of tournament and they went on to Final Four.

In 2012, another tough draw against Saint Louis and first round exit.

Wait until Memphis is in Big East and people no longer downplay the schedule they face.

And JP only worked under Cal for one season, therefore the next year or two are the first times we are truly seeing Pastner's team.

That's why I asked for verification. I just always see y'all losing.
