Is that the only way you could get in the game bruh :smugdraper:
why would i want to watch tv on my xbox? when i got cable :snoop:
Its not a must, but it comes in handy for certain things. One, you can stay connected to LIVE if thats something important.

If you go to a hotel, you can take your fios account with you on the road :salute:

If you have Kinect, you can control everything with it like switching channels by literally saying "Xbox, p*ssy pounders" and I'm watchin p*ssy pounders

Also, certain channels will let you interact with the program via xbox.
On ESPN for instance, you can vote on every bowl game. Then you see national results, and results from ppl on your friendslist. Then it becomes a competition. During the elections they'd give you polling questions every 2min. Its really the future of television. Myself tho, where I'm staying at?
They didn't have HDTV in the room where I stay at now. The cable box is standard definition only. Instead of upgrading the cable box, i took it out and only use my xbox. Now I can watch shows in HD via my xbox at no extra cost :hula: Verizon wants like $12 a month for an HD box. Thats $144 a year or 4xbl memberships. But now I'm just bragging :troll:
fios xbox?

Is that like xbox live?
Xbox live has a FIOS app that lets you watch 75channels on it
It also has Watch ESPN app, but its just called ESPN. It has more than Watch ESPN app has, its free. It also brings that total channel count to 78 :leon:
Then XBL has other apps too like Crackle which is basically netflix (free)
It has a Japanese Anime app with pretty much every anime on there for free
In total it has about 40 video apps. CNET reviews, IGN, shyt like that.
The xbox is no longer just a videogame system.

That's what's confusing me. Do I need to have Fios to use this? If so then what's the point of this?
Whats the point of having NBA League Pass if you already have cable
Why have NFL pass if you already have cable
The end goal is for xbox live to replace the need to have a cable box, to replace cable really
Right now this integration is free. Eventually xbox will take over by signing a deal with a company to host its own cable. And that will be a fraction of the cost of what cable companies charge.

Til then, its a novelty unless you want to save yourself the $10+ dollars a month that it cost for your cable box. It doesn't replace your DVR yet
But its well known the next xbox which is less than a year away will have DVR built into it
Patent points to potential DVR feature for Xbox - InGame on NBCNews.com
What you think is retarded, is gonna be THE FUTURE bruh
So for right now, its saves you money, and you can take your cable with you on the road. Its not gonna replace any setup you already have unless you want it too...
wheres the fukking news links
You mean link to the story?
Or news apps like Wall Street Journal app, CNN, shyt like that? Cuz they got all that too :win:

Why don't you let me activate my Xbox with your FIOS account info?

:leon:

I'll give you the code that it gives me to activate, just log in on the activate website and enter it in and let me eat.
