Finding out your co worker has cancer unappreciation thread

We all got called for a meeting thinking someone was going to get canned, instead even hit with worse news.


Only a few years older than me, married with a child, damn It sucks. Here I am with a little sniffles thinking of calling in sick.

Similar thing happened to me a few years back.

I had a friend/co-worker who had cancer went to chemo and dude was a goner a few months later.

I was shock as fukk

His cancer was aggressive as hell.

It sucks man. I had a friend/co-worker at my job that recently passed away this past June. She was diagnosed in 2010, went through chemo, lost weight and the hair.

The next year, she makes a recovery, gains back the weight and hair and next thing (end of May 2012) you know, some pain was in her leg and it turned out the cancer she thought she beat came back and spread in her bones.....only had a week to live at that point....devastating

I have had one co-worker pass away from cancer (cute dark-skinned chick) and last week I got news that another co-worker's cancer just took a turn for the worse and benefits are only paying 50% of what he normally makes.
