With The Leftovers, if you can make it through the depressing nature of S1, there’s a tonal shift in the second season that honestly makes the show shine to new heights because of it. Legit one of the greatest television seasons ever.

Just let the mystery be. :banderas:

It's a difficult question to answer. You'll be enjoying some of the greatest television ever made from seasons 1 - 6 only to watch it crash and burn in seasons 7 and 8.

:francis: Yeah... Can't even give him a stopping point. I say he should watch it if he ain't a book reader. There's a chance he'll be one of the folks that like the entire run.

Im a firm believer that HBO could crowdsource the budget to redo the last 2 seasons with different writers and the whole cast would come back to do it. No one but Nikolaj (Jaime) is doing anything anyway. Call it "Song of Ice and Fire".

nah, might as well jump into The Corner first since its similar to the Wire

Sopranos and Thrones are good but they're too much of a drastic change coming fresh off that show

all episodes on youtube free

Was gonna say this, plus watch Clockers since it also has the same writer (Richard Price)as The Wire plus Spike Lee directing and Martin Scorscese producing. For me thats the whole collection, Wire, Corner, Clockers. Tv Series, Miniseries, Movie

The Sopranos if you haven’t seen it. Hands down the GOAT series imho.

Gomorrah on hbo Max is like the Italian Wire...much more gruesome and darker than The Wire. Top 3 series to me. Make sure to watch it in Italian w English subtitles.

I'm not a book reader and I hated the final season :scust: It completely ruined everything that came before.

I think it's too late now. It would be like getting back together with an ex. Sooner or later, you realize the spark is gone and that the past cannot be undone.

They should have pulled the plug and hired different writers when they handed in those awful scripts or better yet, when they decided to cut the final seasons short.

I feel like if you binge it, which a few friends of mine did after it aired, it doesnt sting as much. The anticipation due to length between seasons was crazy. Not sure (in an 8 season time frame) if we wouldnt be disappointed no matter what they did.
