Film Room Madness Round 1: #10 Harry Potter Franchise vs #23 Terminator Franchise

You know the drill at this point. The Harry Potter Franchise (franchise not separate movies) vs Terminator Franchise (franchise, not separate movies).

For the purposes of the competition, I'm assuming the Harry Potter franchise only consists of the 8 core Harry Potter flicks and not the Fantastic Beasts movies. And since it's film only, Sarah Connor Chronicles don't count so focus only on the five Terminator flicks we've gotten so far.

As far as my vote, it's Potter all the way. Yes there are 8 movies contending with 5 so that's lopsided. And yes T1 and T2 are stone cold classics, but I can pick three Harry Potter flicks that are also stone cold classics and possibly just as impactful but for different reasons. Potter franchise is just more consistent.

If I line up 5 Harry Potter flicks and the 5 Terminator flicks we've gotten so far, the Terminator movies fall off a cliff after part 2. On the flip side, the Harry Potter flicks just kept getting better

The Boy Who Lived by a mile. Each one of the movies is good on their own and they did a good job of embracing a darker tone as Harry gets older.

I don't think you could pay me to watch those potter movies.

Terminator all the way as I seriously doubt the combination of all 27 potter flicks can equal the classic filmmaking of the first 2 Terminator films. you have to be a major potter Stan nerd to outweigh the terminator flicks with a British wizard kid. Gtfoh.

went with Ron's best friend. Overall Terminator's been fumbled more times than not...and Genisys was aweful.
