So he's not working out for teams?
:francis:

Lions fan here...we drafted Jameson Williams in the first round. He tore his ACL back in January during the Bama/Georgia championship game. Heavy rehab and debuted for us last weekend (only a few snaps as he gets his legs under him). This weekend he's prob gonna get 15+ snaps and make some plays, plus there are multiple vids of him practicing at full speed.

OBJ tore his ACL in February. He's gotta at least be a month away from being able to play meaningful minutes, safely. If not more. But if he hasn't been rehabbing heavy or putting on hard work...he is risking the rest of his career. I wouldn't sign him without a work out. And even with a workout I'd prob wait until next month to make it official.

I don't even think he'd be cleared to work out if Dallas was hesitant about what showed up on his physical. When they kept talking about how he was looking for long term security in his next deal, I knew right then that dude was trying to hustle teams and wasn't ready to contribute this season.

The free agent WR class is so bad this upcoming offseason (JuJu, Hardman and Chark look like the best available  ) that it might make sense for a team like the Giants to figure something out on a multi-year deal. Give him that security he wants, avoid the field of suitors during normal offseason bidding and if he's anything close to what he was for the Rams it'll probably be a bargain for 2023. If he gets on the field and contributes this season then that's a cherry on top.

The problem that OBJ has is that he wants to go to a playoff contender, but those contenders would be better served using the roster spot on someone that can help them win now and not next season. I get why someone like Dallas or Buffalo wouldnā€™t do it for that very reason.

i mean, he's kinda on same time table as his previous injury
i just think the whole going around looking for a team thing was not what he needed to do
now the reports are he's not ready. u gonna have folks like "we'll you were doing all this, why u not on the field now"

The main difference between the two injuries is the timing.
