Few people know that...

1. It was a black doctor, Dr. Charles Drew (1904 - 1950) who developed the Blood Bank. This method of preserving blood has saved millions of lives. Ironically he died after an automobile accident from loss of blood, because the all-white southern hospital of the time would not admit a black man or give him a blood transfusion... -_-

2. Dr. Daniel Hale Williams, a black man from Pennsylvania, was the first to perform open heart surgery In the U.S.

3. Granville T. Woods, another blaclk man, invented the automatic airbrake system, the telephone transmitter, and the electric egg incubator.

4. ST. Augustine's mother was Saint Monica... A FULL BLOODED BLACK.
