Fetty Wap has seen massive success in the past year. After ‘Trap Queen’ blew up in first quarter of 2015, he followed it up with two more smashes — ‘My Way’ and ‘679’, all three topping the Rap charts on Billboard.
The album has now been certifiedplatinum by the RIAA, just over 5 months after its release on September 25th, 2015. This obviously doesn’t mean he’s sold 1 million copies of the album. Part of the achievement is thanks to RIAA’s new rule announced last month that on-demand audio and video streams, and a track sale equivalent will be factored in Gold & Platinum Album Award certifications (1,500 on-demand audio and/or video song streams = 10 track sales = 1 album sale).
Congrats to Fetty and if you missed it, check out his custom emoji packhere.
