The white man knew all along and was giving hints to his coworker. White families in small towns usually know all the secrets and pass down secrets and heirlooms to kids. That man knew that his coworkers ancestors had been enslaved on the farm but didn’t want to come out and say it because of a fear of a reparations claim or something like that.
I know the area and road my family was enslaved on but can’t pinpoint the farm. It’s a dream of mine to buy some land in the area. Repton AL.
