36-year old Forth Worth father of five, Lee Douglas, was on a break from his overnight electrician job at a warehouse. He walks to his car and gets ambushed and shot. Killer is 18 year old Hispanic man Devan Mederios from Washington state who was on a flight layover at DFW airport. He had zero ties to the victim or area.

How did he get a gun during a layover?

Extended layover? Or perhaps he had no intentions of getting on that next flight. Getting a gun in Texas isn’t hard unfortunately, yes even on a layover. But he’s not of age to buy a pistol from a vendor especially with no TX ID. So he either stole it or bought it on the street.
