Love the fact that people had the presence of mind to preserve a lot of these WBLS/HOT 97/Kiss FM shows and are putting them out there. All of this stuff are pure gems. Nothing wrong with taking a look back because radio was just as much of an important element to hip hop as the other 5 were

:salute:

Trust the radio is all we had in most cases back then. I could have never imagined anything like music streaming. Even listening to music could be a chore on a cassette because it took time (even if a few minutes) to REWIND a tape back to a favorite song or verse.

Sounds primitive but that's the way it was.

Or hearing a tight new song on the radio then sitting next to the radio with your hand on the play/record button so you could catch it the next time they played it. And you might not hear it again that day cause they weren’t playing the same shyt over and over

did the FATBOYS throw a shot at Run Dmc when Magic asked them what they thought of Run's movie??

:ohh:

wow..Magic really hated Rush management/def jam

I think they were telling the straight up truth...the movie was wiggity.

It woulda looked fake if they woulda lied and said it was good.
