Watched this on HBO Max last night while heavily zooted out my mind... :whoo:

I been on a 70's trip the last few months trying to brush up on older, trippy flicks and music and this one had me glued to my screen for the full 1 hour 12 minute runtime.

Any brehs have any recs for similar bugged out foreign animation films? :feedme:

FP is a unique classic. There are so many others, tough to say where to start. But the director's other masterpiece is worth a look too:

This is probably a pretty decent list, but not all the ones are foreign: The 100 best animated movies: the best psychedelic movies

Anything by Ralph Bakshi (except COOL WORLD and his LOTR is janky, although some people cultishly love it better than the Jackson versions), he was the adult animation pioneer. Especially c00nSKIN and HEAVY TRAFFIC - he was in the 1970s effectively the Scorsese of animation, but much trippier and looser.

Movie is epic and goes beyond being just a cartoon.... Movie depicted life in general.... Even better to watch when high af..... :wow:

Edit: the Soundtrack is dope af as well..... I made several beats off the soundtrack and a lot of producers sampled from this movie.... :wow:

The director's other films are definitely first on my list. I want to check this one out along with Les Maîtres du Temps next.

Appreciate the recommendations. :salute:
