This thread needs to be dedicated to wrestling fashion crimes

There was one I remember seeing of HBK/Nash together in their Kliq days. I think they were going to the gym or something and one of them was wearing this ridiculous multicoloured muscleshirt/leotard abomination which I think was looped over itself in that :wrist: way.

Anyone else know what the fukk I'm on about? :russ:

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson reflects on being a Sunshine Boy

Since being cut from the Calgary Stampeders in the mid-'90s, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been many things. WWE star, comedian, action hero, author, Sunshine Boy... wait, what was that last one?

Yup, he was that too.

In the photo (circa 1997), we see the actor -- then known as Rocky -- as an up-and-coming wrestler. He’s sporting the baggy jeans and a one-size too big turtleneck; his sleeves are pulled up so we see his wristwatch and bracelet. But the best part? The fanny pack and the Kid ’n Play-inspired haircut.

At the time, Johnson told the Sun he wanted "to live a happy life and would like to be one of the leading stars of the WWE. He has cats named Jackson and Miss Kitty, loves to fish and fly airplanes." He went on to add that he loves to relax on the beach and told us his favourite stage show was Phantom of the Opera.

In Toronto earlier this week to promote Hercules (out Friday), theToronto Sun's Jim Slotek showed Johnson the photo and the actor -- now one of the biggest movie stars on the planet -- laughed.

"That's right, I remember," he said. "Oh my gosh! It had to have been '96 or '97. The fanny bag, the hair... I would like to, like, post that picture and tell everybody, 'Look how far I've come'... It's great looking back on those days."
