ACT 1: In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, Jey Uso has found himself pulled back into a feud with the Bloodline after an interaction in the Royal Rumble, in which Roman specifically sent Jimmy and Solo to arrive and eliminate Jey. He finally faces Jimmy one-on-one at Elimination Chamber, where he loses due to Solo Sikoa interference. Feeling that this needs to end once and for all, Jey challenges both Jimmy and Solo to a tag match at Wrestlemania. His partner is another person that Jimmy and Solo were sent to take out of the Rumble, Cody Rhodes. Rhodes promises that he never forgot about what happened at WrestleMania last year, and he will right all the wrongs this year.
ACT 2: Cody and Jey defeat Solo and Jimmy at Mania Night 1. While Jey celebrates the victory, Cody oddly leaves the ring immediately after the match. On Night 2, Cody arrives during the main event, Rock vs Roman Reigns. He prevents both Jimmy and Solo from interfering, before picking up Roman's belt. He comes into the ring as the ref is out and hits Roman with the belt. As the Rock gets back to his feet after being taken down with a spear, Cody stares at him for a second and suddenly hits him with the belt as well. He then leaves the ring area as Roman stands and spears the Rock again for the win.
ACT 3: The next night, Jey demands an explanation from Cody. Cody reminds Jey that he said he was going to right all the wrongs and that's what he did. He came to the WWE for one reason: to finish the story of HIS family, not Jey's. But it's all become clear that in order to finish the Rhodes family story, he has to also finish another family's story because of what they've taken from him. The Rock stole his opportunity this year, so he stole the Rock's opportunity. The last piece to the puzzle will be Roman. But the person he has the biggest problem with now is Jey. It wasn't enough that he helped Jey come back to the company and made a way for him, but he also had to spend WrestleMania helping him settle his family problems... ending the Anoai family's story isn't what he came here for, but now it's what has to happen. He then attacks Jey, setting off a feud between them that runs into the summer. During the course of the feud, he and Jey participate in the Money In The Bank ladder match, which Cody wins. Cody repeatedly says during the following months that it's only a matter of time before he finally finishes the story.
ACT 4: in the fall, Jey has run afoul of the Judgment Day, headed by World champion Drew McIntyre (along with Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio). Meanwhile, the Bloodline is beginning to bump heads, specifically Roman and Solo. Jey is seemingly alone in his feud with Judgment, and openly announces that he wishes his family was still altogether. At Crown Jewel, Jey runs into Jimmy in the hallway, onscreen together for the first time in months. No words are said, until Jimmy says "good luck tonight", to which Jey responds "Yeet". Later in the night, Jey challenges McIntyre for the title in the main event. After Jey loses, all four members beat Jey down when suddenly, the Bloodline theme plays. Roman, Jimmy, and Solo arrive, beating down the Judgment Day along with Jey. The Bloodline is now fully united, standing tall together. This sets up a 4 on 4 WarGames at Survivor Series.
ACT 5: At Survivor Series, The Bloodline is close to victory, with all four Judgment Day members on the mat, and Solo being the only one standing. He walks over to Jey, seemingly to help him up, but then delivers a Samoan Spike. Jimmy sees this and approaches Solo to receive a Spike as well. Then, Solo turns to Roman who hasn't seen any of it and repeatedly spikes him. He leaves the cage and heads up the rampway. McIntyre crawls over to an unconscious Roman and pins him for the win. Judgment Day celebrates outside the ring when Cody Rhodes' music plays. He comes to the ring with his briefcase, opens the cage, and picks up Roman. He hits CrossRhodes and pins Roman to become the new WWE Universal champion.
