One of the takeaways from the 2011 Jalen Rose-produced “The Fab Five” documentary was how much disdain that Michigan squad had for the Duke basketball program, culture, coach, and players. In one clip, Jimmy King is seen describing Laettner as a “bytch,” whle Rose says he thought Laettner was a “p*ssy”.

During an interview with Scott Van Pelt and Ryen Russillo this week to promote his 30 for 30 program, Laettner showed how bothered he was by what the former Michigan players had to say about him.

“Hey, me and my buddy can make a movie too and badmouth as many people as we want, too. And I was surprised that ESPN let them do that. … I was disappointed in that. That’s not what life is about. But maybe someone told Jalen we want to make a provocative movie and start saying Laettner’s a b-tch and Laettner’s a p—y. I guess that’s what life is about. I don’t appreciate it and I don’t like it, but it’s something I won’t ever do,” Laettner said in the interview.

We can understand why Laettner would be bothered by the Fab Five documentary; nobody wants to hear people calling them names in that way. That’s exactly why Grant Hill and Bobby Hurley fired back at Rose and company. And on Sunday, Laettner will have his chance to portray himself the way he likes when his film comes out.

LMAO at Laettner trying to be “dignified” now and act like he WASN’T a fukkin’ bytch ass p*ssy who EVERYBODY hated, not just Black players.

I mean, I get it on some levels... this dude has been nonstop hated on since he was 18 years old. He's one of the most successful college basketball players in the modern era. Actually had a pretty successful nba career.

And if you look at the stats, he had a career comparable to Juwan Howard, comparable to Jalen Rose -- giving you 18/8 in his first 6 years or so. Obviously Juwan had an 3rd team all pro season, but his best years weren't much more than 18/8, 20/7...

So honestly, you can make a VERY convincing argument that Christian Laettner is a bytch ass cac and needs to go away.

What I didn't get about him and Grant Hill was that the Fab Five gave them props. The bad clips were them saying what their opinion of them was before getting to play them. After playing them they all stated that they had game and had a lot of respect for em.
I try not to be hate on Duke players, but got damn that was some self absorbed sh*t. Jalen clearly stated he was talking about his state of mind almost 30 years ago and that he was wrong for feeling that way, yet Grant goes out of his way to write editorials and all other types of pr sh*t. It was too much.

Then last year this Jabari Parker goofball pens an article talking about how he's not down with the one and done culture at Kentucky, only to bolt after his freshman year. He's gonna stay a herb in my book for a minute.

I'm trying not to hold these two incidents against Duke but it's hard. The corniness precedes them.

It was VERY CLEAR tht the fabfive was talking about their feelings about duke and laettner and grant hill THEN when they were 18 and whatnot. yeah, thats how they felt about them.

Rose reiterated this regarding grant hill especially
