Everyone who has any depth, or creativity, loss, romance in them has done this before, but I would say I have also had "scenes" that exceeded or entirely defied the more "reasonable expectations", the key is balance and strong sense of yourself, lest you lose yourself to delusion, and the bitterness of disillusionment.
It is a great scene because it visualizes the kind of internal monolouge we have with ourselves.
