Personally while Exile is dope, he uses too many goofy/pointless samples. Statik production just beats it hands down. Just a few joints each....who do you guys have?

I like Statik but Exile has too many amazing beats to compare to. A lot of Statik's stuff sounds derivative. I love how Exile (in his prime) manipulated samples. One of the most underrated producers of all time.

Would say Statik only because of the variety of artists that he's worked with. Exile predominatly does music for "Dirty science" artists and West coast artists. I think Statik openness to work with artists all over allow forces him to innovate and challenge himself.
Would have always said Exile, but Statik's new shyt was excellent, am still gonna say Exile because of his overall body of work but it's got closer now than previously to me.
Exile has his own unique style and an underground classic under his belt, also dug those MPC performances he used to do. Not as much output tho

Statik, just slightly. Always fukked w/ him since he was doing mixtapes. Exile too dope though.

I like them both and I would have to say if we are talking who has made better beats in the past out of the both of them catalog wise I would have to say Exile. However if we are talking who makes better beats overall I'm going to go with Statik Selektah.
To further clarify if you told both of them make a beat right now, more then likely Statik Selektah would make the better beat due to his skills but on a lucky day with the right sample Exile would make a beat better then Statik imo and better then most of Statik's work.
sidenote: Tbh I might prefer Jake One over both of them as far as white producers go because his beats knock like a motherfukker...just saying lol

Jake One is mos Dec dope but hasn't put out alot recently. Marco Polo just dropped some heat on the Masta Ace project.

Yeah, that's my only issue with Jake One. He doesn't drop music often but when he does his shyt goes hard!

That's what I was trying to say but you said it way better lol. Like Statik has more skill but when Exile catch that right sample he will beat Statik in a beat battle lol. Exile has beats that are probably better then most if not all Statik beats but those kind of beats on that level are far between in his catalog. However typically most Statik beats are better then most Exile beats so it makes it tough for me to call when you consider all this.
Also Statik's drums I usually like better.
