Female lions do most of the hunting for a reason. Male lions aren’t good hunters, they are the clean up guys. Surely you don’t think a female lion can go toe to toe with a grizzly do you?

Incorrect. Male lions who arent in prides scavenge and bully other predators out of their prey because they aren’t adept in hunting like females. Lionesses are much more equipped to hunt being lighter, more agile and no big ass mane to get in their way when stalking prey. Male lions protect the pride, the lioness hunts.

Also Lions can get quite big. Well in game parks where they are fed... I will look for the vid I took of one, it was massive about the size of a cow and it was a female.
All I could think was if this thing decided to try to attack the car it would have a good chance against us.
I dont know if a lion that has meat provided daily meals and doesnt hunt would be much use against a wild bear...
Difference being, those animals can't get on their hind legs and throw massive blows, or push a lion off of them.

you are out of your mind if you think a brown bear is 1500lbs. its mostly fur that makes it LOOK big, its mostly all fur. male lions are actually the same size as brown bears.

the lion has a much more powerful bite, and bigger teeth as well.
-This is exactly why I prefer using averages in these hypothetical scenarios. Dudes up in here trying to put average size lions against the largest grizzly possible, which is fukking stupid.
-Then you got dudes saying lions don't got enough endurance & strength to beat a grizzly when it's been documented they CAN & HAVE killed plenty of them.

Bottom line from what I read, saw & the science behind it. Both can gets Ws but more than often a lion of same/slightly lower size/weight will win the majority of the time.
