I Really Mean It

one thing i’ve learned about the media is that its sole purpose is controlling our perception of reality. it does not exist to entertain nor inform. no, the function of the media is to take hold of our minds and guide it down the corridors of approved thought, in a building constructed by the elites who manage our society.
i find it fascinating that porn, this supposed scourge of the internet, a corruptive source of sexual deprivation, is never reported on by the media. there might be mentions of extremely fringe elements, like child pornography, but the readily accessible bounty of porn that’s just a few keystrokes away is rarely mentioned and almost never framed as damaging.
i’m convinced it’s by design.
first, we live in a hyper capitalistic society that places profit over all else, in which human concerns are overlooked if a dollar can be made. porn is a billion dollar industry, with multiple hands dipping into the pots of gold it produces.
banks, who manage the lines of credit people use to access much of the content, are feeding off this industry. the media works for the banks and the financiers who manage capital, so it won’t interrupt that stream of revenue with any objective journalism that highlights the porn industry’s exploitative core.
i also believe it’s other purpose has been to mold the idea of sexuality in the minds of men, stripping it of the emotional component, shaping it into an objectifying means of controlling women and reducing them to three holes and a pair of hands.
with the connective tissue of human intimacy shredded, our already patriarchal society becomes even more chauvinistic, love replaced by savage lust, romance by a revulsion for human bonding.
porn programs our men to view the domination of women as key to the preservation of our world order. and women are programmed just the same, conditioned to whore themselves out almost as they were sex objects sitting on shelves that men browse before making a purchase.
whatever. it’s just something that i’m thinking about.
everything in this society is planned and carefully curated for the purpose of controlling our behavior and ensuring nothing we do upsets their power. it’s frightening when you take tine to actually think about how deep the rabbit hole goes.
