Ethiopia’s Hagos Gebrhiwet will never live this moment down as long he lives.

During the Diamond League 5,000m in Lausanne on Friday, Hagos was in first place, and upon hearing the bell ring, he crossed the finish line and started celebrating his victory.

Unfortunately for him, he celebrated a lap too early as he ran off towards the side pumping one fist into the air.

He ended up finishing in 10th place.

Long distance races over 1600m were always ass because of this. I never lost count when I did the 3200m, but damn does it get tedious. My dude in the vid had no chance after that sprint, especially with everyone else letting loose on the afterburners they were saving up.
