Comment was weird to me. The "without being racist" part was what threw me off. Often when people feel the need to add addendums to their statements like he did it usually means they're getting ready to say something fukked up. "I'm not racist, but......" In context, I suppose he was saying Mexicans aren't interested and Black people are?

Former four division world champion Erik Morales questions the logic of a fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Andre Berto.

According to recent reports, Mayweather is slated to defend his WBC/WBA welterweight belt against Berto on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Berto was beaten by Victor Ortiz, who Mayweather later knocked out in four rounds. And Ortiz was stopped by Marcos Maidana, who Mayweather defeated twice in 2014.

In his most recent fight, Berto stopped Josesito Lopez.

"Floyd is very intelligent and he continues to demonstrate his skill. I don't think it's a very competitive bout. It's two fighters who, without being racist, almost nobody wants to see. Perhaps the fight is interesting for them, but for us not," Morales told ESPN Deportes.

"Berto was defeated by Víctor Ortiz, Ortiz was knocked out by Maidana, and Maidana was dominated by Mayweather... [the fight with Berto is something] I do not understand. He does not want to take a risk, he has never wanted to take a risk, and he doesn't want to take a risk now

Story goes is that while under the TR banner, they met in a gym, sparred, and Morales was showing Floyd how he was suscpetible with his shoulder roll. Floyd didn't like being shown up by the smaller Mexican, so he caught feelings about it ever since.
