Firstly, it's intellectual dishonesty many of you dudes are displaying. Or it may be as simple as you actually are too stupid to comprehend the situation.
Yvette - Her fight is to get black people as a whole in a better financial position.
Tariq - His fight is to fatten his pocket, drop game on black history, and to expose white supremacist.
Now let me give you another brother in the community: Sara Suten Seti
Seti - His fight is black power period! He wants to bang on white people.
NOW...does Tariq or Yvette advocate anything similar to Seti? And be honest with yourselves! They are different people addressing different things.
Who ever thought Tariq hated cacs? Even from his Mack Lesson days I could tell he didn't discriminate against any race when it came to dating. And he never implied he did so. On his black empowerment stuff he still doesn't have the stance that he wants to go to war with white people. Or that he hates white people. He has never implied that.
Yvette, her entire problem with the white majority is politics and economics. Her answer has ALWAYS been to maneuver politically to where we can influence them enough to break bread with us properly. She has never expressed hatred toward white people, she has never approached it from the position that we need to bang on white people. She never expressed black separation either, in fact, a few callers who suggested such she suggested were crazy.
Point is, you guys are either intentionally miscasting these people, or you're really that stupid. Seeing them with a white partner should be no more startling than any other black person (which in itself is a little startling). But more at issue is it doesn't dilute their message any. For the fact that their message doesn't imply they hate white people or want to bang on them.
Now if Seti was exposed to have a cac wife....
