I like jewelry but I'm not big on the idea of engagement or wedding rings, even if it's a simple band. I'm weird and i don't like the idea of having to be committed to a ring, as you know you're supposed to wear your wedding ring everyday barring reasons why it's not possible like you're performing surgery, swimming, etc.
Not to be all Afrocentric or anything but I always viewed engagement and wedding rings as white tradition and well, I'm black.
What are some alternatives? Are there any African wedding symbols that let people know you're married like rings do? You can even mention other cultures outside of Africa , non white or Persian traditions preferably. I'm curious and can't seem to find any.
