Employee discount with buying a new car

I'm getting an employee discount through a friend, how does this usually work? Can I also get manufacture's rebates on top of the employee discount? Hoping someone here knows something

Where I used to work employee discount on a new car was invoice minus 500...

Used was whatever they owned it for minus 500..

Ive seen cars get more taken off the price than that though when the managers get desperate..

employee discount is a fake label

they underpay you and allow you to buy a car for 2g's less, that aint a benefit, it's still a negative when you're getting underpaid far more than that

I thought my first check there was gon be

I aint sell a car my first week there, but i aint care, i had over 40 hrs in. All i did was show up, drink coffee, and look out the window

I get my check the next friday, smilin, thinkin bout all the hours I had, where Ima take my wife out to eat, etc. I open the check, and that bytch was $256.45

I was PISSED

YOU MEAN THE A AND Z PLANS AND STUFF? USUALLY YOU GET A PIN FROM THE EMPLOYEE AND YOU GET A FLAT PERCENTAGE RATE THAT YOU CAN ONLY COMBINE WITH CLEARANCE SALES. BUT LIKE THE GUY SAID, A MANAGER CAN HOOK YOU UP.

AND THEM shytS CAN BE APPLIED AS A DOWN PAYMENT. THAT'S REALLY THE APPEAL OF THEM. ON TOP OF THAT THEY REALLY HIT HARD ON THOSE LUXURY CARS. KNOCKING 10-15 RACKS OFF A CADDY IS NICE.

Somebody who knows how to negotiate will get the same car for less than this so called discounted pre negotiated price.
