Offensive lines are much worse.

Defenses have adjusted.

Teams thinking they can just get any yahoo in the backfield and call it a run game.


I've seen more pockets completely get busted open the last two years than ever before imo, expecting QBs who aren't elite athletes to escape from that and still throw the ball with accuracy is crazy. It's not even a simple step-up, these dudes running for their lives.

The Bucs/Chiefs SB should have clued people in when Mahomes was running for his fukking life.

The elite QBs of yesteryear weren't throwing the ball protected by overwhelmed rookies and garbage bin lineman.

Teams treat dudes Derrick Henry, CMC and Prime Zeke WAY differently than they’ll treat two or three rbs that work as a committe. They’re saving money but they’re losing a little mental edge in the game plan.

Defensive lines are much faster and stronger now. They have an advantage over offensive lines now, so they are able to pressure the QBs a lot quicker. Emphasis on teams running the ball now to neutralize this.
