If you haven't played these games you wouldn't understand what I'm about to say - these games scratch an itch that no other game can. Most of my best gaming experiences come from the Soulsbornes.

And if you never played em before you have time to get caught up.

Pretty much. It’s been a while since we had a genuine souls game, not even Sekiro scratched the itch for me
