Why you feel that way?
I never finish from games, aside from sekiro, so I made a promise to only buy them at a discount.
Its easily the most meaningful content Ive played in recent memory. Ur first run may take like 80-120 hours and its al dope shyt
I'm trying to not do everything because some of the items I get won't work with my build and I'll spend more time. But when you see an area you ain't been to it's hard not explore every corner
Easily one of the best games ever made. I'm at 70 hours still not done on my first run. That's like a dollar an hour.
They took Sekiro and blew it out to like 5 games worth of content and it's nowehere nearly as frustrating because you can level elsewhere or call in summons to help you
Pick up that stuff and do the exploring.
You will undoubtedly come back for a second playthrough and it will be good to have stuff for a different build from the start instead of working through the game again to get to it.
I went full Blood Samurai. I haven't even used magic. So for second I'm gonna run points in Intelligence. I'm gonna be the Smartest guy in the room.Pick up that stuff and do the exploring.

I didn't even know magic existed in the Dark Souls games because I couldn't figure out how they worked.

Advanced upgrading materials and equipment are locked behind deep progress into the game. If you wanna start your next play though as a mage, you are gonna want a lot of the stuff you don’t have access to until far into the game.

I put 250 hours into this game. I'm on my 3rd play through and still finding new shyt.
You could, no joke, beat the entire game and not see half of it. The game is fukking huge.
