I had my buddy geeked up on fire defense, offense up, hp regeneration and regular defense buffs before stepping up. On top of the armor set

Yeah, pretty much the same. I had the shield that regenerates health plus used the beast vitality incantation when I could, also. But yeah, the spear definitely made the battle a lot quicker.

If I play NG+, which I don’t think will happen directly after I finish lol, I’m gonna try to play against the grain e.g. playing without summons, using different weapons against bosses, etc.

Still on first boss. Think i chose a bad build

Got a friend who’s been whining about how hard this game is. He doesn’t explore if it’s not with us. The items he has is because we told him to go to a place. Only beat most bosses with someone playing with him. Now he’s at the last two bosses stuck. Hes doing anything but play those two bosses because me and another guy arent there to carry him anymore

It ain't easy. Probably not as much fun. If i ever play this again I'll probably use summons and magic on bosses.

Do not button mash that roll button. You will be punished until you wise up.

If you roll right as you get hit. The game will buff the roll then u'll roll after the hit and get hit by a follow-up. It's annoying as hell.

If you gonna summon, use Black Night Tiche.

Use bloodhound step or a giant shield w/ barricade shield
