Elden Ring (PS4,XB1,PC,PS5,XSX) (February 25th, 2022)

4 hours deep into DS3 and I like it but for some reason it has made me think less of FromSoft. I get staying in your lane but almost everything in ER is lifted from this shyt.

Lol it gets deeper, go back and play dark souls remastered.

When people said Elden Ring is dark souls 4 they meant it. Still a great way to scale the franchise, and it pulled it off flawlessly but it’s dark souls through and through

That’s the problem a lot of folks have (myself included): they keep doing the same shyt and the stans keep eating it up so they never change. Atleast with BB and Sekiro they changed some shyt up. But with the Souls games (and ER is obviously a Souls game whether they name it such or not) they just stick with the same (exact) formula. Pretty frustrating, especially for combat-focused ppl like myself.

I beat the Elden Beast yesterday with no flasks left and 10% health. I used the talisman to negate holy damage +2 and the talisman to negate non physical damage + 2 and pretty much just rushed it down being relentless. It was too late for me to do the quests to get the black knife tiche so I had to work with the mimic

If this had Sekiro’s combat it’d be a top 10 all time game.

As is, it’s impressive in its scale but nothing crazy imho as someone who found mainline Souls game to be mid

You can tell the developers had fun designing this map on some evil and sick sht.

Use the shackle on him right before the boss entrance and he can’t move

As someone who never played any of the souls games I fukk with Elden Ring heavy. 130 hrs and still not tired can’t stop won’t stop

Edited: I decided to challenge Millicent. After I killed her and now I feel so guilty cause when she said, "Ahh, how could you......Is this your true heart....was I...was it all for this?" shyt is heartbreaking man, I feel so bad but fukk it cause I killed her cause it got a better reward....

You can always save her on NG+.

I see why people are hating on Farum Azula and Malekeith, the damage is insane and the boss is hell cheap. Also FUKK those birds. That area was designed to be unfair.


It’s time for FromSoftware to do something about the camera and these giant bosses. Verticality needs to brought in let me scale these bosses (Like Shadow of the Colossus) or give me more depth in the battles because these prayer rolls only to eat 80% damage is bullshyt.

Thousand percent facts. Its so crazy that I actually had planned to finish my 2nd DS3 playthrough along with starting ER and my mind was literally like "Im playing the same game " when I had them side by side.

For what its worth my tier list is Sekiro, ER, BB, then the Souls game with it being 3, 1, Demons, 2 in that order
