i went confessor too. Died 5 mins into the game :dead:

trick with confessor:
  • lean on the shield early. it has 100% absorb, so you can block + use the R2 counter, which should let you take down most early enemies. but you have to learn when to use it or some enemies will catch you with follow ups.
  • find a way to the round table. won’t spoil it, but there’s a flame spell there that will help you take early advantage of confessor’s mage/melee hybrid style.
  • you only need to level up faith for confessor. it will allow you cast incantation magic and focus on leveling up other attributes (health, FP, dexterity, etc) instead of intelligence. You can do that one later.
    • there's also a charm you can find that will scale up some of your non-faith attributes, making it easier to wield some weapons that require higher strength levels. with that, you can level strength to the minimum you need for your preferred weapons, and invest runes in other areas.
  • find the quickstep and no-skill spells. equipping those to your starting build will give you some room for error while you learn the mechanics, since you’ll have three ways to avoid damage (quickstep, shield, roll). you’ll lose the ability to parry tho.
  • don’t explore limgrave until you can take down everyone in the first camp you come across easily. There are two weapons, a map fragment, and a whetstone in that camp. It’ll also help you level up a few times.
  • once you can do that, focus on exploring East Limgrave and the Weeping Penninsula. Try clearing out caves/dungeons, fighting mini bosses, etc. this will help you find the runes and smithing stones you need to level up your character and weapons.
    • one exception to this: you'll need to explore the area of limgrave right below stormveil castle to find no skill, quick step and the secret path to the round table. basically, when you get to the first encampment, if you follow the road to the left it'll take you to a castle entrance. the area right before the castle is where you need to go for the three items i mentioned.
  • Learn when to fight and when to run. If you come across anyone that’s dogging you it usually means you’re not strong enough. Work around them until you level up. Tree sentinel and giant bears are examples of enemies you’re not ready for.

Go as far south as you can.

From the starting area I think it's actually southeast. When you reach a bridge called The Bridge Of Sacrifice you'll know you're in the right spot.

The first area you should explore is called The Weeping Peninsula.

The first dungeon you should do is Castle Morne, in that area.

Stay in that area until you get your weight up. It's the lowest level area in the game.

Fred.
Found it. Thanks.
I got the horse but need the summon.

How do I summon people online to help me defeat bosses

if its someone you know hit start go to muliplayer and make sure both of yall have the same PW..

tell your friend to put a sign down at whatever grace or spot u want.. go to that spot and hit start -> multiplayer and use the furcalling ashes thing to reveal signs.. u should see his and be able to summon

if public just use the ashes and look for gold signs
