If you are trying to range him it's prolly not gonna work. This is one of those phases where ranged magic is kind of useless. You can't meme beam him he will move. Find a weapon skill that can do damage up close and get as much dps off as you can when he's on the ground and you are behind him (I mostly attacked behind the back right foot). If you are mage maybe carian slicer you get off a lot of damage, or moonveil katana. I poked him with a frost rapier

You need to activate the stake in that area, then in the start menu go to multiplayer and set the password to coli

This will make you only see signs from people with the same password.

Then use a furcalling finger remedy to see summon signs and all you should see is mine by the boss door.
