I feel he gets overlooked when people talk about hip hop moguls and label owners. Ruthless was pretty diverse and not just about NWA. They managed to have success in Pop (JJ Fad), RnB (Michelle), Lyrical "Clean" rap (The DOC), as well as being the label to give birth to G Funk (Above the Law)

its because general knowledge of rap history doesnt pick up until years later.

i think most people just look at it as it being the home of NWA and a second wind with BONE.

that nut ass movie didnt do anything to improve the narrative. it made things worse actually.
