The New Day vs. Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks set for E3 video game conference

The New Day to face Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks in Street Fighter V at E3 2018
The six-man tag team showdown you’ve been dreaming of is happening this Thursday.

The New Day will collide with The Elite – Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks – in a Street Fighter V showdown at the Capcom booth during the E3 video game conference in Los Angeles.

Xavier Woods and Omega had been going back and forth over social media in recent weeks over who was the better Street Fighter player, to the point where Capcom, the makers of the legendary fighting game series, had to intervene and set up a battle for supremacy to bring the bickering to a definitive end.

During a contract signing broadcast on the Street Fighter Twitter account, “The Cleaner” made the bold statement that he could beat Woods and any of his friends in the game. Woods pounced on that claim, saying he’d bring backup, while doubting that Omega would be able to find two teammates. Woods quickly enlisted the help of his fellow New Day members Kofi Kingston and Big E for this battle in The City of Angels.

However, despite Woods’ doubts, it was then revealed via a YouTube video that Omega's partners would be IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks. Nick & Matt Jackson will join Omega, their running mate in The Elite, setting the stage for a battle that many sports-entertainment fans thought would never happen.

What will happen when these trios meet for what is sure to be an explosive video game battle? Will Omega, the self-proclaimed “Best Bout Machine,” unleash the V-Trigger on his way to a six-star Street Fighter classic before saying goodbye and goodnight to his rivals? Will The Young Bucks make Ken and Ryu put on a virtual superkick party? Or will The New Day serve up a heaping helping of humble pancakes to their rivals and prove that though Omega & The Bucks may be elite in the ring, when it comes to Street Fighter, they’re just booty? Find out this Thursday at 4 ET/1 PT, and be sure to tune in to UpUpDownDown during E3 for the latest on games being shown off at the conference!

The anticipated NJPW vs. WWE matchup we've been waiting for, two years in the making :wow:

Rooting for Woods even though he's basura at Street Fighter and Kenny probably takes this free.

Would be dope if E, Kofi, and the Bucks showed up too.

Edit: "I'm an employer so I came to give him that work." - Woods :ohhh::wow:

I still don't know why Woods is so adamant on challenging Omega to another SFV match especially after what happened at CEO two years ago. Kenny is the one who should be getting back at Woods after getting spanked in Tekken 7 imo.... probs because SF is more popular in the FGC :yeshrug:

Kenny was in the lab practicing Windjammers for the sole purpose of beating Woods at his own game, are we ever gonna get that match?

I would imagine it's because SF is more popular and Capcom is willing to pay for the exposure they bring. As for Windjammers, I think it's mostly a matter of setting it up with their schedules. Also, I imagine Woods is somewhat limited in how much he can interact with Kenny, given Omega isn't in the E.

Sidebar: Nintendo is having a celebrity Smash invitational. "Young Hugga" aka "Queen of Games" Bayley is mysteriously absent. :lolbron::troll:

There is just no way Woods wins this. Kenny been out here, training in the dojos of Japan, having 35 yo salarymen blow smoke in his face after giving him that work. Meanwhile, Woods been bullying Miz and jumping into attacks from Kofi.

This shyt gon be free as fukk. :mjcry:

Just finished the whole promo. New Day confirmed? :ohhh:

Woods' whole team is gonna crumble if Kenny can find someone that can tech a throw. God forbid his nikkas know how to block. Team WWE ain't gon know what to do.

It might end up being the New Day vs. the Elite (Bucks been trying to get that match irl, so gaming is probably the only medium Cokeboy can accept)

I honestly don't know how the Bucks are gaming wise, but I know Kofi can go when he wants to.

It could be them getting two pro players backing them up too.

I hope the Miz non-blocking ass participates :mjlol:

If it's all WWE guys with no pro players, Miz and/or AJ would be fantastic for all the shyt talking and juelz-ing if and when they lose.

Samoa Joe went with Woods last year - they did a dope interview with Giant Bomb - so I could see him being on the squad if they let him go again this year.

If a woman is on the team, I hope it's Becky. Or we could finally get Asuka's UUDD debut. (I know it's a stereotype because she's Japanese, but I would not be surprised if Asuka was dumb nice at Street Fighter lol) Just leave Bayley and Sasha at home. They're trash and we trying to get W.

Iunno about Becky, she’s probably racked up the most female UUDD appearances but she’s pretty trash.

I mean Renee Young washed her in Injustice 2 :russ:
