Doc Savage is sometimes considered the original superhero, and he certainly has influenced the entire genre (as well as many others). He's pretty much a perfect human specimen, a super genius who has trained his mind and body to peak ability who explores strange lands, researches scientific events and fights people trying to conquer the world. He's basically Sherlock Holmes, Indiana Jones and Batman all rolled up into one, with the personality of Superman. He's called the Man Of Bronze because of his distinct appearance, boasting bronze skin and hair, as well as eyes as bright as gold.
