According to a new report by Forbes, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was the second highest paid actor from June 2016 to June 2017, having made $65 million in the year. Johnson trailed on “Ballers” producer Mark Wahlberg, who made $68 million.

In related news, if having the distinction of being one of the highest paid actors in movies is not enough, Variety is reporting that HBO’s “Ballers” has made Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also one of the highest paid actors in TV. The newly published report speculates that the former WWE Champion makes about $650,000 per episode of the show:

Word on the street is Ballers trash though :iseeu:

commercial success =/= artistic success. That's the thing I'm most curious about.... we know he can make money and be an A lister at the box office. Will he ever get to oscar worthy levels in the eyes of the critics? I could see him as a guy that would really want to be respected like that.

I think he'll make plays for that eventually, but he's making way too much money right now to care about critics (which is why he shouldn't have bothered getting upset about Baywatch reviews).

It's not like he's a classically trained actor or some shyt.... You think Rock REALLY gives a shyt about winning an Oscar? Just have a hard time believing he gives a damn....Not his lane
