dvd burner

Don't really know much about DVD burners....can somebody point me to a nice basic one that runs on vista? Something cheap

Idk.... can I use just a app to do it or do I need the actually hardware? I don't think my laptop have a DVD burner..... sorry I'm really navie when it comes to that shyt

Almost all newer laptops have a dvd burner, I recently burned my dvd collection took me a while to find a good free program without a bunch of bullshyt limitations that just works

MakeMKV - Make MKV from Blu-ray and DVD


Only thing about this program is that the files comes out native size, which means your left with files that are 5+gigs for dvd and twice as big for BluRays, to fix that use


HandBrake


That program will recode the file making it usually 1/3 of its original size


Only slight limitation about makemkv is that it's a full 30 day trial but after that you can just re download it for another 30 day's, program is so good though it's almost worth paying for

What exactly are you trying to burn, just simple movies? I ask because I back up my shyt so I moved up to a blu-ray burner. It's great.

It's usually a whole lot faster just to download the shyt already encoded than to rip the movie and do it yourself. Unless it's some shyt that can't be found online.
