Dustin Nguyen returns in ‘Once Upon a Time in Vietnam’

This coming August, former 21 JUMP STREET star Dustin Nguyen is back with his third Vietnamese action film, ONCE UPON A TIME IN VIETNAM (LUA PHAT).

Nguyen returned to Vietnam to help jumpstart a new era in action cinema there along with fellow Vietnamese actor and martial artist Johnny Nguyen. The duo played rivals in THE REBEL (2007), while Dustin had a lead role as a Bruce Lee-style fighter in THE LEGEND IS ALIVE (2009).

In ONCE UPON A TIME IN VIETNAM, Dustin plays a mysterious stranger who is enlisted by residents of a small village to take on a criminal organization who have taken over the village. The film co-stars Thanh Van Ngo and American-born martial artist and actor Roger Yuan (SHANGHAI NOON).
