I just finished the 2nd season of Boardwalk empire, and I'm :mindblown: over them killing off Darmody. shyt doesn't make sense at all. He helped Nucky get those charges dropped by killing that one fuy, yet Nucky still kills him? Seriously man I don't even know if I want to finish the series now. Darmody was that dude.

I felt the same way after they killed off Fring in Breaking bad. But at least with Fring you could see his death coming. I mean there was no way Fring and White could coexist on the show. But this Darmody shyt...:what:

I read an article, that I can't find right boe, that said the writers felt painted into a corner with Jimmy's death. Based on what happened he had to die. They played with the idea of letting him live but it wouldn't make sense, or weaken Nicky who was the main character.

:yeshrug: I stopped watching midway through the 3rd season.

I loved Gus... He wasn't even a villain... He seemed like would be cool with no killing Walter. Walter looked at him like a threat and wanted to be a boss but at anytime did Gus say I'm gonna kill you outright?!

:dwillhuh:

gus made total sense.
so did killing jimmy to a certain extent, although i'm sure his character wasn't supposed to die so early. it's just that the actor was such a major pain in the ass they couldn't wait to get him:camby:

He stood right in front of Walt and looked him dead in the eyes as he slit a dudes neck with a box cutter

Jimmy still had a lot of time left, so my vote goes to him.

In Breaking Bad, you saw the character progression in Walter White and you just knew Gus's time was up.

To Prove a point!!!! :troll: He let him know not to fukk with him... but Walt got outta line instead of being just a good worker for the money he got greedy... Gus wasnt even paying attention to his goofy ass...
At first gus wanted to off jesse because he thought he was a fukk up but Jesse proved his loyalty with the whole mexican shootout thing. proving him and walt worked better as a team and Jesse was dependable.

Season 3 was kinda the show runners figuring out how to make the show compelling again. By Season 4 of Boardwalk Empire they found the replacement character they needed (Dr. Narcisse) and wound up doing their best season. I put BE Season 4 up against any other series' single season, it was that good. Fukkin' A++!

It still has me :mjcry::mjcry::snoop: when Jimmy got killed. He was the perfect link to the young turks coming up (Capone, Luciano, Meyer etc). Could you imagine the fukkery we would've gotten to see Jimmy going up against GYP?

So much wasted potential. Jimmy should've lasted till the 4th season.

Gus getting killed meant perfect sense story wise. His time was up.

Darmody had to go, he betrayed Nucky.....Nucky then used to him & then threw him to the bushes because he couldn't trust him again & probably end up being his down fall....similar to Tony & Chris in Sopranos.
