Hostage Situation Continues At Gateway 3 Downtown « CBS Pittsburgh
The situation right now, it is a hostage situation on the 16th floor. We have a black male who is holding possibly two or one person hostage. We are negotiating with that individual right now, said Chief Harper. Its some type of investment business on that floor. He has the hostage or hostages in the inner office of a 16th floor suite, and at this time, were trying to negotiate to get him to release the hostage and have a good resolution to this.
Chief Harper says no shots have been fired and no one has been hurt.
According to Chief Harper, Thaxton is being cooperative and is on Facebook as the situation continues. He is communicating with some friends on the social media site, but police are asking those people to stop talking with him.
