Drumline: A New Beat, anybody seen this movie?

I just found out they made a sequel to Drumline. If anybody here has seen it how does it compare to the original?

Was decent. Too much melodrama for my taste(for the scenarios given in the film. Melodramas can be on point)
Very similar story arc to the first one.

Saw this on Netflix and watched it. I've never seen a movie push so many subplots then either straight up abandon them of run out of time to address them. I mean the movie was ok but it tried to do too much.

They fukked up a classic. Should've never had a sequel. The only saving grace was seeing Latoya Luckett

I found the guy he was messing with to be comical. The main homosexual wasn't offensive but his love interest was a very poorly written character to me. I don't think actual gay people were involved in the writing. He was trapped in the closet style bad.
