It’s getting bad out here. I saw a random stand on the side of the road during my commute this morning with a sign that said “free food”. I immediately thought about the poor Brehs in Madagascar. Wanted to mail them those canned beans so badly.
Also, it kinda surprised me that a tropical island could suffer a drought and still maintain its forests. I’m curious whether these Madagascar people( I don’t know what to actually call someone from there) could tap the water source of the vegetation….
Also, from an engineering standpoint, I think a low tech desalination system and a few pumps may help them considerably. I wonder if there are traditional African ways of desalination all that sea water….
