There are only about 300 drive-in theaters in the US currently but some movie theaters are converting their parking lots into drive-in venues and "pop-up drive-ins" are happening in some states. I read a story about how some Walmarts are turning their parking lots into drive-ins at a certain time on the weekends in some states.

I think the longer this goes on the more that drive-ins will become the option for movie theaters in danger of dying out due to the pandemic.

Studios ain’t about to release movies they spent hundreds of millions on at only 300 locations.

Yea it would make wayyyy more sense to go the streaming route but the BIG tentpole releases (looking at YOU Tenet and Mulan) ain’t ready to concede defeat yet
