Well the climate of the world was different. We didn't have the Internet to splinter off all the entertainment so vastly. It was more concentrated when it was just TV and Radio, so more ppl HAD to pay attention.

I like Drake's music but to even mention his number ones in the same breath as MJ's catalogue is beyond laughable.

They need to have a separate category for Streaming Era music. It’s a completely different time in music and these current songs aren’t at all consumed the same way as in previous eras.
