That's a unique song in Drake's catalog, I'll gladly admit. It's basically the type of track SZA and Doja have been doing for awhile. I wouldn't call it alternative but you know nikkas gonna hear a guitar with no 808s and call it that. But that's one track (plus the Chino one)...are you going to deny the dominant sound on the album is the same downtempo shyt he's been doing for well over a decade? It's basically diminishing returns at this point. Remember when we got so in tune with the "Ross single' sound that those tracks stopped having any impact because it was just retreads? Or when Meek tried to remake Dreams & Nightmares that his intros became jokes. Drake is at that point now creatively. He needs somebody to explain to him that there's more to r&b than 90s/Jodeci/etc.

I'll at least give Weeknd credit for shifting from his own staple sound and trying something else but at this point he sounds dead, creatively. The synth pop shyt is super played.

Nokia is the only the only bop and they almost fukked it up when they half timed the drums, Im glad he didn't go the ja rule "blood in my eye route" but this shyt is boring. It seems like he's lost his knack for song structure ,but needs to go back to the basics , 3 8bar hooks, and 2 12 bar verses. This just sounds like random unfinished songs put together. Not like us won cuz Kendrick finally stopped doing the stupid beat switches with no hook
