I read the entire article, sounds like Drake & his lawyers just throwing sh*t against the wall to see what sticks.

However, if what is being accused is true, then :francis:

Drake's best course of action was to step back from the scene for a couple years, re-invent himself & come back stronger. But dude is too addicted to being in the limelight.
He's going out sad. All he had to do was move on from this and make some hits. Nobody cares about the winners and losers of a rap battle in the long run.

We joke about it but Jay was unaffected by Ether long-term. Dre survived the Cube diss; Cube survived Common. People move on.

This bozo is bringing everything back to the forefront and is about to give Not Like Us a second wind AND even more hype for Kendrick's album. :skip:

I disagree. In the real world nobody really cares about this "beef" or the lawsuit. He is still the top streamed rapper. I heard drake a million times at club this past weekend and folks danced and vibe'd like normal. Only people obsessed or boycotting drake are the stans online. Folks and blogs will be back to talking about diddy or something else next week and forget this lawsuit is even happening. Sometimes yall dont realize the internet is an echo chamber. An artist can have millions of followers and engagement but only sell 5k copies of their album. Kamala was killing with the engagement online also. It doesnt translate to the real world. The Superbowl is the real world though and a more diverse crowd. So that L would be much bigger, etched in history, and bring the song back to the front after it has already faded away.
Now you're contradicting yourself.

First you say that Drake would get insurmountable blowback if Kendrick were to perform this song at the SB, but now you're saying that nobody in the "real world" cares about this beef. It's either one or the other. Everyone that would hear Kendrick calling Drake a pedo at the SB would have already heard him calling Drake a pedo, 1000x over.

The song has been bigger than rap. It's a pop culture phenomenon. Folks from all demographics were singing along to it at a presidential candidate's rally. It was top of the Billboard 100 for months on end. You'd have to be living under a rock not to have heard it, much less if you're someone that watches the SB halftime show.

If nobody in the real world cares about the beef like you claim here, why would they suddenly start caring during the SB? How would they know any of the context behind it? Why would they then care for that context? Are you going to tell me that the difference between the world caring about the beef is the SB halftime show?

:usure:

Drake's music isn't going anywhere, because it's already ingrained in [popular] society, so folks are still going to listen to his songs. That's not going to change if he gets called a pedo at the SB. Those that listen to his music aren't suddenly going to stop listening to it, cold turkey.

However, what's more to the point here is that, the perspective around him in the rap game is going change going forward, where he's going to think twice about making those fake tough guy records, or trying to claim to be down for the culture and his reach for features will be reduced too. He could've easily waited out the storm, took his licks and came back, but everything he's done during this saga and in aftermath of it is putting that in jeopardy.

I thought Drake re-signed in 2022? Sounds like he wants to renegotiate terms and feels like he’s not in a position of strength due to Not Like Us. Dude acting like he wasn’t already losing before that. Euphoria was beating his diss in the polls. And Meet the Grahams stepped on his other diss. Not Like Us hit in real time. Black social media popped it off. You even had celebrities like Shia LaBeouf going crazy. Dude is mad they didn’t protect him in favor of Kendrick who is also signed to them. He wanted the Meek and Pusha protection and was surprised when they let him fight on his own.

Dot probably isn't even looking to perform NLU.

Biggest hit of his career that's been getting used by every sports team, media outlet, person, etc somehow won't be performed on the biggest sports stage in the country :russ:

Yall are so delusional
