Won't matter to Kendrick stans and Drake haters :yeshrug:

Delusional Drake stans will think this means Drake won :mjlol:

For the rest of us non-stans, it changes the narrative a bit. Yeah NLU is certified and Drake lost, however it provides an avenue for him to come back on some "yeah took the labels and industry to knock me down and we still here" survivor story. It's a narrow path but he can stick the landing and recover. Plus, the ability to end his deal and get some money.

But he has to win. Anything short of victory and he's purely irrefutably bytch made and should go into software marketing
He already had the 20 v 1 angle. I just don’t see how this helps him. It’s not like NLU was a song that had numbers but I never meant someone who liked it. I’ve seen songs like that. NLU is not that

The public is bigger than the loud voices on either extreme. If there's a clear path to victory, even with the clowning it's worth it to push through and then get in his "against all odds" bag

There's a part of the public to which any action of his will be clowned. They don't matter in this calculation of his

All of what you're saying shows in how he's remained the top streamed artist this year. Most of the noise is just a vocal minority of rap nerds from both sides. You go outside and they're still playing Drake more than anyone else.

But he ignores this and continues to have this loser mentality where he feels scorned by the battle, when he should just be focused on rebuilding by dropping new music.

He should be Ross in 2009 where he just ignored 50's foot on his neck, ignored what the industry was saying about how he was losing the beef, and went on a crazy run with Deeper Than Rap > Teflon Don > Rich Forever.

The opinions on this is so weird. Like no one is defending UMG. Who cares about these labels the music business is smoke and mirrors and always has been. I hate that people even discuss the numbers at all. Who fukking cares if you enjoy the music??

Ummm, from what I’ve read, this doesn’t seem to be about the rap battle at all. The feud with Kendrick is just the backdrop. The real issue seems to be between Drake and UMG. The rap battle feels like a convenient front, but the real fight looks like it’s about business and promotion. 🤷‍♂️

The culture supports exploitative record labels

got it
The culture supports exposing vultures like Jew in Blackface who're all too obliging to benefit from these "exploitative record labels" (making generational wealth in the process), but only complaining about it when someone else benefits from it, all of which is all a ruse to deflect from being embarrassed on wax.

Get it?
