It's possible lawyers tried to gas him up into thinking he has a case. Either way his lawyers getting paid.
However if there is something here and he has UMG dead to rights... fukk looking corny. He can legitimately claim the industry illegally conspired to get him out the paint.
You think the entire bot based music industry isn’t going to come for his neck for this? At best he’s hoping for a settlement that lets him out of his contract and for some undisclosed sum. At worst, they’re going to countersue him for defamation and point out how they’ve promoted his records, the practices that he regularly uses that he is now calling illegal, and point out that the algorithms they use to promote Kendrick are the same algorithms they use to promote Drake.
@Loose you are wylin. You don’t sue over a battle
In hip hop and Drake himself has been propped up by universal. They’re simply going to say they were promoting an artist that was beginning a new contract with their label and that had an album coming up - as they would any other artist signed to them. This dude might as well just give up on the industry fukking with him because now he’s barking up their entire economic model.
